Wingstop Signs Go Up At Planned Roseburg Location

ROSEBURG, Ore. — Wingstop appears to be moving closer to opening in Roseburg after new signage was installed Thursday at 2034 NW Stewart Parkway.
Douglas County permit records issued earlier this year list multiple Wingstop-related projects at the same address, including tenant improvement work, wall signs, and a walk-in installation.
According to the county’s February permits-issued report, permit 20260355 was issued Feb. 18 for “C - TI for Wingstop” at 2034 NW Stewart Parkway. The permit was listed as active and carried a project value of $300,000. The report lists the property owner as PAPF Roseburg L.L.C. and the contractor as KMS Resource Group Inc.
Two additional active permits were also listed for the same address. Permit 20260663, issued Feb. 17, was for wall signs for Wingstop, with a listed value of $8,000. Permit 20260695, issued Feb. 23, was for a walk-in for Wingstop, with a listed value of $10,000.
The location is also listed on Argonaut Investments’ Roseburg Marketplace property page, where “WingStop” appears among the shopping center’s anchor tenants. The page lists Roseburg Marketplace at 1438 NW Garden Valley Boulevard and identifies the center’s leasable area as 220,023 square feet.

The new signage is another visible step toward the restaurant’s opening, though an official opening date has not yet been announced.
The Roseburg Receiver has contacted Wingstop for confirmation and additional details, including a possible opening timeline, hiring information, and whether the Roseburg restaurant will be franchise-owned.

What is a Wingstop?
Wingstop is a national restaurant chain known for cooked-to-order chicken wings, tenders, chicken sandwiches, seasoned fries, and a variety of sauces and dry rubs. The company was founded in 1994 and has grown into a major fast-casual brand with locations across the United States and internationally. Its menu focuses heavily on chicken wings and flavor options, with popular choices including Lemon Pepper, Original Hot, Garlic Parmesan, Hickory Smoked BBQ, and Mango Habanero.

Nighttime Paving To Begin April 26 On Oregon 42 Between Winston And I-5

WINSTON, Ore. — Nighttime paving work is scheduled to begin April 26 on Oregon 42 between Lookingglass Creek and Interstate 5 as part of ODOT’s ongoing highway improvement project in Winston and the Green District. ODOT said the paving phase is expected to continue for about six to eight weeks, weather permitting.
According to ODOT, most paving work will take place overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings. Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures, though at least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Nearby residents are also being advised to expect nighttime construction noise.
ODOT said the first two weeks of paving will focus on side road approaches, which are the last 20 to 30 feet of side streets before they connect to the highway. During the week of April 26 through May 1, crews are scheduled to pave approaches along Oregon 42 in Winston, starting at Brosi Orchard Road and moving south and west toward Lookingglass Creek. ODOT said side roads may be closed for about two to three hours at a time, but only one closure is planned at any given time.
During the week of May 3 through May 8, paving is scheduled to shift to approaches in the Green District. ODOT said the approaches at the Carnes/Roberts Creek and Grant Smith/Old Highway 99 traffic signals will be closed overnight, with detours posted for affected drivers. A one-night closure of the northbound Interstate 5 Exit 119 off-ramp to Oregon 42 is also tentatively planned for May 4 or May 5 for pavement repairs.
Paving on the Oregon 42 travel lanes is scheduled to begin the week of May 10.
The larger project covers roughly five miles of Oregon 42 and includes resurfacing, bridge repairs, curb ramp upgrades, traffic signal work, and safety improvements aimed at reducing crashes in the corridor. ODOT said the project began in February 2025 and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2026.
The project also includes changes already underway in the Green District, including the newer signal at Rolling Hills Road/Grange Road, added turn restrictions, U-turn accommodations, median barriers, and upgraded ADA curb ramps at 14 intersections. ODOT has said the work is intended to address a corridor that has seen several serious crashes in recent years, including some fatal crashes.
Warming Trend Continues With Slight Chance of Weekend Storms
ROSEBURG, Ore. — A gradual warming trend will continue across southern Oregon through Friday, with mostly stable conditions expected before a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms returns over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Medford.
Forecasters say the region is currently influenced by a large-scale “omega block” weather pattern, helping keep conditions relatively calm and near seasonal norms.
Inland valleys, including Roseburg, are expected to see high temperatures climb into the low to mid 70s Friday. Coastal areas will reach the mid 60s, while areas east of the Cascades remain cooler, with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Patchy fog and localized frost are possible early in west-side valleys, though widespread impacts are not expected.
For Roseburg, the weekend forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs near 67 Saturday and near 66 Sunday. Patchy fog is possible before 7 a.m. Saturday and before 8 a.m. Sunday. Overnight lows are expected to stay around 40 Saturday night and around 42 Sunday night.
A weak disturbance is expected to move through the region Saturday and Sunday, bringing slightly cooler daytime temperatures and a chance of unsettled weather. Thunderstorm chances remain low, generally between 10% and 20%, and are expected to be focused mainly south of Douglas County.
Forecast models differ on how far north activity could spread. Some guidance suggests isolated thunderstorms could reach into Douglas County, while other models keep most activity confined to northern California. Regardless, forecasters say severe weather is not expected.
Early next week, conditions are expected to stabilize as the broader weather pattern shifts. Roseburg has a 20% chance of rain Monday after 11 a.m., with mostly sunny skies and a high near 66. Temperatures are expected to warm again into midweek, with highs near 69 Tuesday and near 72 Wednesday.
Long-range outlooks suggest the potential for more active weather in early May, though confidence in timing and impacts remains low.
