Man Arrested After Donut Theft And Chase In Roseburg
Roseburg police said a 31-year-old man was arrested Friday morning after allegedly stealing candy and donuts from R Mart on West Harvard Avenue, then fleeing officers on a bicycle before being caught and taken into custody.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — A 31-year-old Roseburg man was jailed Friday morning after police said he stole candy and donuts from R Mart on West Harvard Avenue, then tried to flee before officers caught and arrested him.
According to Roseburg Police, officers responded around 6:10 a.m. March 20 to a reported theft at R Mart, located at 2646 W. Harvard Ave.
Police said officers later located Cammerson Tymothy Cordova riding a bicycle eastbound on Harvard Avenue. When officers contacted him, Cordova allegedly fled, prompting a chase of about a quarter mile.
Officers said Cordova was tased during the pursuit and then taken into custody.
Cordova was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of third-degree theft and third-degree escape.
