Douglas County Easter Events Roundup: More Hunts Added, More On The Way
Families across Roseburg and Douglas County will have several chances to celebrate Easter, with egg hunts and family events planned in Roseburg, Sutherlin, Oakland, Winston, Myrtle Creek and Umpqua. More events are still being added to the community roundup.
Families looking for Easter events in Roseburg and across Douglas County will have several options this weekend and in the days ahead. Here’s a roundup of community egg hunts and Easter activities we have so far. More events may be added as information comes in.
Roseburg
- City of Roseburg Easter Egg Drop - Shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday at Fir Grove Park, behind Umpqua Valley Arts on West Harvard Avenue. Open to children 10 and under. About 5,000 plastic eggs will be dropped from a Roseburg Fire Department ladder truck. Only the first 400 children present will be allowed onto the field. Children are encouraged to collect one egg of each color and exchange them for candy or prizes. Raffle drawings for large golden eggs and gift baskets are also planned.
- Church on the Rise Easter Egg Hunt - This is for families with children with disabilities. April 4th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. | 3500 NE Diamond Lake Blvd.
- Vine Street Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt - April 4th at 10 a.m. Candy, prizes and fun. Ages toddlers - 5th grade. 2152 NE Vine St in Roseburg.
- Sunshine Park Easter Egg Hunt - 10 a.m. Saturday at 200 Sunshine Road in Roseburg. More than 1,000 eggs and prizes are expected to be handed out.
- Linus Oakes Retirement Village Easter Egg Hunt - 11 a.m. Saturday at 2665 Van Pelt Blvd. in Roseburg, continuing until all eggs are claimed.
- Westside Christian Church Easter Egg Hunt - Immediately following the 11 a.m. church service Saturday at 2712 W. Harvard Ave. in Roseburg.
- Little Explorers Childcare Easter Egg Hunt - 4 p.m. Saturday at 1943 SE Stephens St. in Roseburg for children ages 12 and under.
- Workman’s Community Market opening day Easter egg hunt - Hunt begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at 4550 Old Highway 99 S. in Roseburg. The market itself will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Roseburg Cars and Coffee Easter Special - Scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. on April 12 at 220 Sunshine Road in Roseburg. Organizers say the event will include a family-friendly car show, People’s Choice voting, a “Most Egg-tastic Ride” trophy and an egg hunt for children.
- The Farmstand and the Nursery - Easter Egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. divided into two sections based on age. Bring your egg basket and family! 523 Melrose Rd. in Roseburg.
- Aaron's Easter Egg Hunt - Enjoy free hot dogs, snacks, & beverages! April 4th at 12 p.m. | 1350-28 NE Stephens St in Roseburg.
Around Douglas County
- Sutherlin Easter Egg Hunt - 1 p.m. sharp Saturday at Sutherlin West Intermediate School, 531 N. Comstock Ave., for children ages 2 to 11.
- Oakland Easter Egg Hunt - 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Church of Christ, 1400 NE Oak St., with hunts divided by age groups 0-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
- Winston Easter Egg Hunt - 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Winston Community Park, 590 SE Thompson Ave. Hosted by Family Church at the Ark, the event will include age-group hunts, special prizes, yard games and lunch.
- Myrtle Creek Easter Egg Hunts - Richwine Vineyards will host hunts at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Saturday at 15330 Old Highway 99 S., including options for children and adults 21 and older.
- Riddle Fire District 76th Annual Easter Egg Hunt - April 5th (Sunday) at 1 p.m. at the Riddle High School football field. Ages 0 - 12.
- Umpqua Easter Egg Hunt - 10 a.m. Saturday at the Umpqua Community Center, 806 Hubbard Creek Road.
