Cooper Creek Trails Cleanup Planned For May 3 In Sutherlin
Volunteers are invited to help clean up the Cooper Creek trails in Sutherlin on Sunday, May 3, during a morning event hosted by Thrive Umpqua, LUMBR, and Umpqua Velo Club.
SUTHERLIN, Ore. — Community members are invited to help care for the Cooper Creek trails during a cleanup event scheduled for Sunday, May 3.
The Cooper Creek Trails Cleanup will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cooper Creek Reservoir, with volunteers meeting at the main parking lot at 491 Edgewater Drive in Sutherlin.
The event is being hosted by Thrive Umpqua, LUMBR, and Umpqua Velo Club. Organizers said the cleanup will offer a morning of movement, stewardship, and connection while helping maintain one of the community’s favorite walking trail areas.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring tools for cutting branches. Battery-powered tools may be especially helpful.
Participants should meet at the west end of the main parking lot near the bathrooms. A signed waiver is required to participate.
