Drain Man Sentenced for Firearm Manufacturing Convictions
A Drain man was sentenced for illegally manufacturing firearms with a 3D printer. David Ralston, 35, pleaded guilty to three felony counts. He received probation, jail time served, and forfeited multiple firearms and parts.

Police Seize Dogs, Firearms in Roseburg Animal Neglect Case
Roseburg police seized 16 dogs, firearms, and ammunition after an investigation into an alleged illegal breeding operation. A 66-year-old man faces 17 counts of animal neglect and firearm charges following the Aug. 18 incident.

Coos Bay Driver Pleads Guilty in UCC Softball Bus Crash
Jonathan Dowdy of Coos Bay pleaded guilty to multiple charges in the April crash that killed UCC coach Jami Strinz and player Kiley Jones and injured eight others. Several counts were dismissed in a plea deal. Sentencing in Coquille is set for Sept. 11.
Winston Council Passes Marijuana Facility Ordinance, Tables RV Park Stay Limits
The Winston City Council tabled a proposal to limit RV park stays and advanced Ordinance 75-724, which includes zoning and animal code updates and would allow recreational marijuana facilities in the city. The measure proceeds to further review and public input.
