Douglas County commissioners proclaimed April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention Month on Wednesday, joined by local agencies and community partners who gathered at the courthouse for a pinwheel display and a public call to support children and families.

DINT says multiple arrests were made after targeted enforcement patrols in Roseburg focused on downtown, Harvard and Garden Valley. The four-day operation involved DINT, Roseburg police, the sheriff’s office and the district attorney’s office.
Nighttime I-5 Off-Ramp Closures Planned Across Douglas County Through End of April
ODOT says short nighttime closures of more than 40 I-5 off-ramps in Douglas County are expected through the end of April as crews continue wrong-way driver mitigation work. Most ramps are expected to close once for 2 to 4 hours overnight.
'Stand Up for Children' Event Scheduled Saturday in Roseburg
A child abuse awareness event, "Stand Up for Children”, is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the sidewalk by Fred Meyer in Roseburg. The flyer encourages attendees to bring children, snacks and signs, and wear blue or teal.
