Thrive Umpqua Invites Community To Celebrate National Walking Day At Ford’s Pond
Join Thrive Umpqua on Wednesday, April 1, at 9 a.m. at Ford’s Pond in Sutherlin for a National Walking Day walk. The approximately 2-mile walk is open to all ability levels. Light snacks will be available, and participants can enter a raffle for a $25 Big 5 gift card.
Thrive Umpqua is inviting community members to join in a National Walking Day celebration on Wednesday, April 1, at Ford’s Pond in Sutherlin.
The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is being held in partnership with the UCVEG Wednesday Walkers. Organizers said the route is about 2 miles and is suitable for all ability levels, offering a welcoming way for people to get outside, stay active and connect with others.
Participants will also be entered into a raffle for a $25 Big 5 Sporting Goods gift card, and light snacks will be available while supplies last.
Thrive Umpqua said the event is open to everyone and encourages community members to bring a friend, wear comfortable shoes and come ready for a refreshing morning walk around the pond. The event will be held rain or shine.
