Third Arrest Made In Fremont Middle School Investigation
A third arrest has been made in the Fremont Middle School investigation. Nathan Terrance Williams, 35, of Roseburg was lodged on six counts of Official Misconduct in the First Degree and six counts of Harassment. The investigation remains ongoing.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has made a third arrest as part of an ongoing investigation into reported injuries to students in the Developmental Learning Center at Fremont Middle School.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies continued reviewing evidence and conducting interviews as the investigation progressed. During that process, investigators developed information indicating that a teacher, 35-year-old Nathan Terrance Williams of Roseburg, initiated unwanted and offensive physical contact with several students in the Developmental Learning Center program between Jan. 28, 2026, and Feb. 6, 2026.
On Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, deputies contacted Williams regarding the investigation. He was ultimately taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Jail, where he was lodged on six counts of Official Misconduct in the First Degree and six counts of Harassment.
The sheriff’s office said it has worked closely with school district administrators since the initial report, and that the district has been cooperative and responsive throughout the investigation. That partnership remains ongoing as both entities continue to prioritize student safety and the well-being of those impacted.
