Roseburg Schools To Offer Free Lunchbox Express Meals During Spring Break
Roseburg Schools will deliver free breakfast-and-lunch meal sacks to children ages 1-18 during Spring Break, March 23-27, through its Lunchbox Express program. Meals are open to all children, and kids must be present at pickup.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — Roseburg Schools will continue its Lunchbox Express program during Spring Break, offering free meals to children across the community from March 23-27.
District officials said the service is open to all children ages 1 to 18. Children do not need to be Roseburg School District students or district residents to receive meals.
Each meal sack will include both breakfast and lunch. Officials said children must be present at the time of pickup, and each child may receive one breakfast and one lunch per day.
Delivery stops for the Lunchbox Express are scheduled as follows:
- Faith Lutheran Church, 820 W. Kenwood St. — 11 to 11:15 a.m.
- Green Elementary, 4498 Carnes Road — 11:30 to 11:45 a.m.
- Eastwood Park, 2823 SE Douglas Ave. — Noon to 12:15 p.m.
- Creekside Family Church, 731 Newton Creek Road — 12:45 to 1 p.m.
- Saddle Butte Mobile Manor, 222 Saddle Butte Lane — 1:15 to 1:30 p.m.
The district said the program is part of its effort to help ensure children continue to have access to nutritious meals when school is not in session.
