Roseburg Man Jailed In Verizon Burglary Case
Roseburg police say a 35-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a March 10 burglary at the Verizon store on Garden Valley Boulevard. Investigators allege stolen phones were later sold at EcoATM kiosks in Junction City and Cottage Grove.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — A Roseburg man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a burglary earlier this month at the Verizon store on Garden Valley Boulevard, according to Roseburg Police.
Police said 35-year-old Dakota Thomas Miars was identified as a suspect during an ongoing investigation into the March 10 burglary. Investigators allege Miars was captured on video at the store during the incident, where multiple phones and a smartwatch were stolen.
According to police, the stolen phones were later sold at EcoATM kiosks in Junction City and Cottage Grove that same day.
Miars was located on March 18 while checking in with his parole officer and was taken into custody.
He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary, four counts of first-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, three counts of computer crime, and a parole violation.
