Douglas County will again take part in Operation Green Light this November, lighting the courthouse green to honor veterans and their families. Residents are encouraged to join by displaying a green light at home to show gratitude and support for those who have served.

Douglas County Search and Rescue located two missing men in separate incidents last week. A Myrtle Creek hunter was found safe Friday morning, and an Eugene man stuck in the Umpqua National Forest was located Sunday evening in good health after being stranded for four days.
