Earth Day and Energy Fair 2026 Planned in Downtown Roseburg
Earth Day and Energy Fair 2026 is set for Saturday, April 18, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on SE Main Street in downtown Roseburg. The free public event will feature exhibits, info tables, kids activities, and sessions on energy, gardening, native plants and more.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — Community members are invited to celebrate sustainability, local ecology and renewable energy during the Earth Day and Energy Fair 2026, scheduled for Saturday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on SE Main Street in downtown Roseburg.
The free public event is organized by Umpqua Watersheds and Thrive Umpqua, and will feature exhibits, educational displays and activities designed to highlight environmental stewardship across the Umpqua region.
Organizers say the fair will include information tables, exhibits and activities for children, giving families an opportunity to learn more about natural resources, sustainable practices and local environmental projects.
Throughout the day, several educational sessions and presentations will be offered on topics related to conservation, food systems and outdoor stewardship. Planned topics include:
- Renewable energy and climate solutions
- Biochar and its role in turning forest waste into climate solutions
- How food choices affect environmental systems
- Gardening with children
- Native plant landscaping
- Wild mushroom foraging
- Beekeeping
- The Crater Lake Wilderness proposal
According to organizers, the goal of the fair is to connect the community with ideas and projects that support healthy lands, healthy people and healthy communities across the Umpqua Valley.
The event is open to the public, and community groups and organizations are encouraged to participate by hosting informational tables or exhibits.
